The Royal British Legion is the UK’s leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to millions who have served or are currently serving in the Armed Forces, and their dependants. In Spain, issues may be somewhat different, but help and support is available just the same The Royal British Legion can provide support to serving and ex-service people and their dependants who are suffering financially. We are also there for those who need urgent assistance to get through a temporary crisis, such as homelessness, or providing a loan for property repairs. It is impossible to list here all the sorts of help and advice that is available as every case is treated individually and in strict confidence on its merits. The Royal British Legion helps people of all ages and backgrounds. To be eligible for our help, you must have served in the Forces for at least 7 days, or be the dependant of someone who has served. It really is that simple. A visit to the UK national website will provide more information of the work of The Royal British Legion. We can offer advice on War Pensions, Compensation Claims and also give Careers advice for those leaving the Forces. Volunteers are vital to our organisation - you can join as a Poppy Collector, or as a Caseworker, providing emotional support and practical assistance in the local community. The Albox branch has a number of volunteer case workers who are trained and in position to help those entitled to support from the Legion. Welfare Chairperson Marianne Pearce email
