A variety of social events are an integral part of what we do at the Albox Royal British Legion. There are regular events as listed below and others such as dinner dances as announced. We now have two locations for our activities, so checkout the details below.

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS 

Monthly Membership Meetings take place on the third Thursday of each month commencing at 11:00 at La Parrilla Restaurant. This is our main monthly event where there is an opportunity to purchase your tickets for social events and trips, listen to various guest speakers, participate in the monthly raffle and quiz and get the latest TRBL news. Refreshments are available at the bar and this is a very popular social gathering. 

COFFEE MORNINGS

Coffee Mornings take place on the first Thursday of the month at La Parrilla Restaurant. They start at 10:30 and usually last for a couple of hours. Some coffee mornings have particular themes, so look out for the latest news either on this website of through the Newsletter. There is always an opportunity to purchase trip and social event tickets and meet other members. 

FORMAL TRBL QUARTERLY MEETINGS AND AGM 

These will take place at La Parrilla and will be formal minuted meetings for those interested as part of our regular monthly meetings. There will be reports from the Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. These meetings will be held in February, May and August in 2010.  

TRBL CRIBBAGE CLUB 

The Cribbage Club meets at the Rumores Cafe Albox at 19:30 on the 2nd and 4th Thursday evening of each month.  We play in pairs (although it is not necessary to have a partner to join in as there is always someone on their own who wants to play).  Games are rotated so that every pair plays all other pairs and the winner is the pair who has won the most winning games.  All levels are welcome from beginners to the more experienced. This is designed to be a social event and is enjoyed by all who attend.  Members pay €3 per evening from which prizes are awarded and €1 is donated to TRBL charity. So if you play crib or would like to learn then please come along and join us. 

TRBL QUIZ NIGHTS 

 Quiz nights are held on the 1st Thursday of every month at Rumores Cafe, Albox. There are good prizes to be won; the actual value depends on the number of players. A proportion of the income goes to the Poppy Appeal. The maximum allowed in a team is six. It doesn’t matter if you are not a team of six, you can make up a team when you arrive. The cost is €2 per person.  First question is asked at 20:30. 

KEEP FIT CLASSES 

Join us at Rumores Cafe at 12.30 to 13:30 every Monday. Wear lose fitting or comfortable clothes and please bring your own mat or towel. You should wear trainers or other similar footwear. There will be a female instructor. The price is €3.50 per person per session. 

CEROC CLASSES 

These will take place every Wednesday at 19:00 hrs for new beginners and 20:00 hrs for those who have been for about four weeks in Rumores Cafe. The cost is €5 per couple. Why not come along and enjoy an evening of modern jive dancing with expert instruction?
